Who We Are

A charity built for and by connection to Country.

“To relieve poverty, sickness, misfortune, suffering, distress and helplessness of socially and financially disadvantaged Aboriginal Persons, particularly the Common Law Holders.” — Primary Object, Constitution of Manta Wakamurru Pty Ltd

Manta Wakamurru Pty Ltd was established as a charitable-purposes-only company, operating under the oversight of Wakamurru (Aboriginal Corporation) RNTBC — the Registered Native Title Body Corporate recognised in Muir on behalf of the Manta Rirrtinya People v State of Western Australia [2018] FCA 1388.

Every part of our constitution locks in that purpose: no profit distributions to members or directors, no dividends, and any surplus on winding up passed only to organisations with like charitable objects. Our mandate is singular — advancing the wellbeing of Aboriginal Persons, Communities and Organisations.
